Hello, our hostess and my hero! I'm glad you liked my post and that it made you smile.

I hope that you had a fantastic anniversary filled with first date romance! I also hope that your hubby made you smile tons!

On this romantic day for you, I figured I'd tell you the story my grandmother (who I lovingly use to call Hottie) told me about how she met my grandfather.

She and her best friend were hanging out on her front porch. Two Army soldiers came walking down the street in their uniforms. My grandmother said she and her friend yelled hello, not thinking the men would turn around. She said my grandfather looked handsome in his uniform. My grandfather did turn around. My grandma was so embarrassed that she ran in the house unsure what she'd say if he approached her. Two months later, they were married.

Here's hoping that you and your hubby, Francis Greco, have many, many happy years together full of love and laughter!

    Keep smiling!
    Hugs,
    dochas,
    and as always
    sending love
    Tamara

I really feel like I can talk to you....so here goes.....
I was involved in a relationship for 14 years that really draiined me mentally and emotionally and also contributed to dignosis of depression and bi polar disorder.....
in the meantime, I found out I had a 27 year old daughter that I did not know about.....her, I and her mom communicated, I made a couple visits and her mom and I found out we still had feelings for each other....well, I made the jump and moved out of the abusive relationship to Dallas to this new relationship and I am peaceful, happy and stress free.....now the ex is trying to get me to hook back up with her.....but don't want the drama and hassels from the past....what to do, what to do

Oh my gosh he is a cutie pie !!!!!! Yeah I bet you would have fun workin with him I would too ! Ha ha it'd be kinda hard for me to consentrate though bahahaha.
I have the cutest little story for you though :) My niece Karley is 2 and I was babysitting her yesterday and we had to go get some groceries at WalMart, well while we were in line she decided to tap this massively large man infront of us on the shoulder and he turned around and she smiled and batted her eyes and said "hey" and he just ignored her and turned back around! so she tried it again, tapped him on the shoulder and batted her eyes just a little bit harder and said "hey" well he brushed her off again so she did it a couple of more times and by then everyone in line was looking at us and wondering why the man was ignoring her, well she finally got really mad and tapped on his shoulder as hard as she could and when he turned around she said "MISTER I SAID HEY!!!!!" and he just laughed and laughed and laughed and finally told her hi back, she had the whole line crackin up ! lol. But I just thought I'd share that with you I thought it was pretty funny haha I can put her picture on here for you to see what she looks like :)
Have your kids ever done anything like that ?

    Love Always,
    Beth:)

S - How wonderful it is that your anniversary falls at such a time of birth and renewal. Lots of green shoots are protruding from the earth. I really like spring (and we are at least in the meteorogists; spring) BP - before pollen.

Bought a CD by a ukulele orchestra. Apparently there continues to be a ukulele revival. Not the kind with nylon or gut strings used to play Hawaiian music. Instead the strings are steel. One musician picks the strings like a guitarist; othes either provide chords or harmony with the leader. I haven't listened to it yet. Need to wait for a time when I'll be most receptive.

A friend just told me that her son and grandson had taken a night hike along a former railroad line not too far from where I live. They heard a horrifying sound. The hair on the back of her son's neck stood straight up. He recognized the sound - a puma! The little one asked, "Are we afraid Dad?" Needless to say they made a quick exit.

Loved Joanna's picture of the reindeer.

    Happy anniversary - O

    Hi Lauren
    How are you?
To answer your question, i don't really push my limits...uhm i don't know..maybe...i push my parents' limit. Here the story: when i was 12, my best friend were killed by her father (and then i killed himself) and my parents weren't there for me. They never came to me to know if i was okay, stuff like that.. i should dealt with this alone. So i decided that my parents were just some people that give me money and that's all. My parents don't really care about my sister and I, they never ask us if we are okay, if we have a boyfriend, they don't know about our friends, they never tell us that they love us... They are "too busy" (my dad travel 4/5 days a week). So i live my life.
I don't know why i said all that stuff, it's not interesting.
Anyway, i hope everything is good for you. Have a good week!

    Love

    Penélope

PS: i'm not complaining at all. I'm not a sad person. I always have a big smile and i enjoy my life (maybe a little bit too much)!

    Hey!

Yeah, me too.. But believe me, I have good creep-o-radar! :D And don't worry, I will never give him my info.

So, now I'm gonna tell you about where I live. I put a couple of photos in twitpic.com, so you're able to see them if you write on the address field twitpic.com/photos/JohannaS_
So Finland is a little country, but beautiful, especially in the summer. The city-well not city, a town, where I live nowadays is a small too, like I've mentioned. I used to live in the capital of Finland, Helsinki. Now I live in the middle of nowhere, there are just fields and trees surrounding us... It's really not my thing.
But the nature here is beautiful though, there are lots of lakes and woods, Finland isn't called "the land of thousands of lakes" for no reason! And no, there aren't polar bears walking along the street, I heard that people in USA for example, thought so :D That really made me laugh! Though sometimes I feel like there could be when it's so damn cold, and there are snow like one meter! The pictures which I put on the twitpic aren't all from my hometown; only the ones with snow, I just took them. And the one with reindeer's is taken from very north of Finland.

I hope this isn't too confusing or hard to read :D Check out the pics! Bye :)

Pneumonia is nasty - you look after yourself. I live in fear of it, as I'm one of these lucky people who have an "underlining condition". It's weird - my gran has the flu jab, but not the swine flu jab, I have the swine flu jab, but not the flu jab, yet we both suffer respiratory conditions.

    I've had a tickl-y throat all morning. I hope I've not cyber-caught anything.

But anyway. Monday. London. Flaming trains! Only had 50% power, they wouldn't cancel the train, so we ran half speed most of the way there. 22 minutes late into charing cross, yet I was only 1 minute late for uni. Phew! After uni (I gave myself permission to finish early) I went to the National Gallery. I'm not an art person, but I want to be able say "yes, I've been there". From there I went to Waterstones (book-a-holic), then a lovely long stroll down one side of the river Thames and back along the other. It was lovely and warm, little wind, but you had to keep your coat on. Lunch time I'm in the central bar at the festival hall with a rum and coke - I was given the choice of white or dark rum, which surprised me (I prefer dark). Then I found the southbank centre branch of Foyles. Uh oh. My poor poor bank balance. But then I headed home. :( It was nice though, & I really needed the pick-me-up.

But now today is Wednesday, not one of my uni days but I have a tonne to do. :(It's 12:17, so in an hour or so I'll stop for lunch. Best crack on coz I won't want to go back to it.

Hi Lauren, after my exam on 3rd June, I'm planning to catch up with the movies including Prescious. I really forgot about it when I read your post the other day, Hope you didn't think my post made your feelings about the movie seem trivial. My sincerest apologies if it did.

Pneumonia is much more serious than a cold. Glad you're getting better. I'm sure it won't affect your celebration tomorrow. Wishing you and your family good health, prosperity and happiness for many, many years to come.

    Enjoy your day tomorrow!

So I heard through the grapvine that a movie is being filmed in my small hometown. Apparently they were auditioning for extras and such. They should still be there when I go home fore Spring Break, so it should be really interesting to see. A movie has been filmed there before..but..it..ahem...never made it to DVD let alone theaters.

Yeah, you should try them. Those who never get drunk with vodka would be really fun to be around after drinking cachaça.

You're probably right. You kept replying to us, talking about playing with the boys and never corrected anyone whenever we mentioned your 'cold'. So I guess that's a no, you didn't tell us about the pneumonia. lol

I hope you're better and taking care of yourself. Hopefully, the message board was a good distraction while you were sick.

When I had pneumonia, I couldn't stop coughing. I hope this was not your case. But if it was...while you cough, you're working your abs! :D It sure hurts like you were, right? it'd be a plus! You should check yours to see if it really works...lol

But if you really want to try that as exercise, laughing works just the same and we'd rather know that you're laughing.

(And that was me trying to make you smile XD)

Lauren thanx for your reply! I am going to go red in my attempt at a transformation - as in a losing battle trying to lose weight and I hope that I will look as stunning as you! I have 1 other question for you - have been trying to colourmatch the lipsticks you wore in NCIS Season 5 Episode 'Chimera' and 'Judgement Day' (your last episode boo hoo) and I have not been able to find it and you probably won't be able to help either but I thought I would ask. Hope you don't think I'm a 'stalker'.

S - I never knew much at all about wildflowers - just dandelions (weeds are just flowers we consider a nuisance; many had been brought from Europe and escaped from colonial gardens). Learned a bit more when I got excited by trilliums, jack-in-the pulpits, and May-apples. But when I was teamed with a teacher new to our school who turned out to be a real amateur naturalist, I got an education. With her I became fascinated by snow - drops, those unassuming but lovely spring harbingers. Yesterday we drove around looking for them, now that much of the snow has melted on at least one side of the road. And we found them!

Spring peepers should be on their way. One year my friend, the teacher, and I were determined to see one of these little frogs. We chose a stake-out spot which wasn't too damp and sat down. Night approached quickly and the cacophany began. Peepers have a shrill, piercing trill. The only problem is, we discovered, they are ventiloquists; the sound is projected away from where they really are. Eventually they came close and I was able to get some photographs. We were thrilled by this madcap adventure.

I don't keep many plants in the house. I'd really like a tree. Think how alive a house feels when a live Christmas tree is within. But I don't have room - even for a bonsai.

Wish I was a gardener; my brothers and mother puttered away at it; I just admired what they accomplished.

I hope our weather isn't as bizarre this summer as the winter was. - O
